Preschool Program

First United Methodist Preschool is currently the only preschool in St. Charles city that is accredited by the state of Missouri.

We provide an environment in which a child's development can be individualized and enhanced under the guidance of a trained Christian staff. Our preschool is accredited by the Missouri Center for Voluntary Accreditation of Early Childhood Programs.

Our program consists of a well-balanced integration of science, reading and math readiness, language development, music, dramatic play, physical activity, and free play.

Preschool I is for children who are age 3 by August 1. It meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.  (Beginning in Fall 2008, dismissal will be at 12:00 p.m.)

Preschool II is for children who are age 4 by August 1. It meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. (Beginning in Fall 2008, dismissal will be at 12:00 p.m.)

High Fives is for children who miss the Kindergarten cut-off, but are close enough to the age of 5, that an accelerated program fits their needs. It also meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. (Beginning in Fall 2008, dismissal will be at 12:00 p.m.)

As a service to parents, early arrival, Lunch Bunch, and late stay programs are also offered which extend our hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
