Meet our Pastors
Reverend Robin M. Roderick
Lead Pastor
Reverend Roderick’s personal mission statement is, "To create enthusiasm for the learning and the living of the gospel." It is a privilege to serve the community and the people of First United Methodist Church. The power of the living Christ is where we find our passion for ministry. I invite you to come and share in what God is doing through radical hospitality, awesome worship, intentional faith development, risk-taking mission, and extravagant generosity.
Reverend Roderick is an Elder in the Missouri Annual Conference with over a decade of service in the local church.

Reverend Jimmy Cooper
Associate Pastor
Reverend Jimmy Cooper is a provisional Elder in the Missouri Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. His focus is on assimilating new members and adult discipleship/small groups. Reverend Cooper has a strong passion for telling everyone about how much God loves them and how this love empowers us to live lives of faithful Christian discipleship both in the church and in the world. He and his wife, Erin, have one son named Noah.
Reverend Debby Bartley
Associate Pastor
Rev. Debby Bartley is a provisional Deacon in the Missouri Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Rev. Bartley’s areas of responsibility at FUMC are congregational caregiving and community outreach.
To quote Rev. Bartley: “I am passionate about insuring that our friends that can no longer attend church remain connected to FUMC, and that FUMC continues to embrace them and remember that they are still part of the church’s family. Additionally, I am passionate that we all remember God’s call upon our churches to be in mission with everyone and look forward to insuring that FUMC continues to grow in its mission to its neighbors, community and world. FUMC’s possibilities for serving God’s kingdom are limitless, and I enjoy serving as one of FUMC’s ministers!”
Reverend Glen Lashley
Associate Pastor of Evangelism
Reverend Lashley is an Elder in the United Methodist Church with many years of experience as a Pastor. Since officially retiring in 2000 he has focused his ministry in the area of evangelism. He, along with many other people in the church, have a passion to welcome people who visit FUMC as new attendees.
Some of the ways this is being done includes small group coffees for new guests for a one hour information sharing session. For those who choose to become members there is a regular New Members class (five 1 hour sessions). Each Sunday there are Hospitality Hosts who greet all worshippers before and after worship services.
First United Methodist Church is known as a friendly place to worship. Making disciples for Christ is our primary goal.
