Mission Possible

Sharing on Sundays

Mission Possible, formerly known as Sharing On Sundays (S.O.S.) is for people of all ages to get involved in hands-on mission opportunities. This group meets on the 3rd Sunday of every month* from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A pizza dinner is shared and then a different activity is planned for each month.

They say many hands make light work. Young and not-so-young hands are needed. Many community groups are helped through this effort and all are welcome to share in the fun and make a difference in the lives of others. Nursery care can be reserved for children 4 and under.

Mission Possible has been involved with sending gifts to children all over the world through Operation Shoe Box; packing care boxes for military personnel overseas; sharing time and gifts with elderly neighbors at Mount Carmel Nursing Home; making blankets for children at hospitals; and stuffing over 1000 Easter Eggs for a community egg hunt. New opportunities for serving are available every month and the experience is more than rewarding.

Teaching our children to give back to the world is what Mission Possible is about!

Upcoming events:

Mission Possible will be going out into the mission field! We will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, in Wesley Hall. We will prepare, pack, and deliver lunches and drinks for the Mission team volunteers that will be working at a house on Jackson Street. All children Kindergarten and older and their families and friends are invited to help. Parents must participate with their child. Please contact Dawn Orndorff at 947-0066 or dawnorndorff@sbcglobal.net if you will attend and to find out what item you can bring for the lunches.
