Sunday School Classes
The following classes meet at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Visitors are always welcome.
- L.R. McAdams Class meets in the south end of Wesley Hall, which is beneath the Sanctuary and accessible from either the 8th Street stairwell, the central stairwell or either of the elevators. This group of approximately 30 "older adults" uses the International Adult Bible Study Lesson Series as the basis of their studies.
- Connections is a class for singles and couples, young adults from late 20s to early 40s - some with children, some without. This class meets in Room 303, above the church office. They take turns leading discussions each week, alternating between Bible study and life issues discussion. Class members are also active in service projects in support of church life.
- Wesley Society is a group of about 30 people, couples and singles in various stages of mid-life. This class meets in Room 109, which is on the lower level between the 8th Street entrances next to the soda and copier machines. The Wesley Society host the annual Ground Hog Supper and enjoys numerous social gatherings throughout the year.
- Christian Builders Class meets in Room 110, which is on the lower level between the 8th Street entrances and across the hall from the kitchen. This group has an on-going bible study using the International Study Lessons. They also have a voluntary participation dinner outing on the 4th Sunday of each month.
- Ladies of Lydia was formed to meet the needs of women who seek to study and grow spiritually with other women. This class meets in Room 300, above the church office. Rev. Wilma Carr is the convenor of Bible-based book studies with group discussion. They enjoy eating out together and other social events throughout the year.
- Encouragers meet in Room 118, which is on the lower level at the north end of Wesley Hall near the front stairwell. Their group discussion is led by a facilitator, and their material varies from one study to the next.
- Crusaders are 25-30 people in the 60+ age bracket who meet in Room 301, which is on the third floor above the Atrium, accessible by the Atrium stairs or the elevators just inside the doors to the church office. They rotate facilitation of the group discussion. Crusaders cover a wide array of material throughout the year.
- New Beginnings in Christ is a group of couples and singles, ages 35-50, with children in ages ranging from 5-20 years. This class meets in Room 302, which is the second door on the right side of the third floor above the church office. This supportive, caring group hosts many family activities.
- Good News Sunday School Class meets in Room 304, above the church office. This group of "youthful and middle-aged adults" enjoys studying contemporary Christian curriculum and its application to their daily lives. They also have seasonal social activities such as potluck dinners at member homes, attending various shows, and some group work projects.
The following class meets at 11:00 a.m.
- Mixed Blessings is our newest adult Sunday School class. You are welcome to join them for on-going fellowship or for a particular study that piques your interest. Topics change regularly. Mid-20s to mid-40s. This class meets in Room 303.
