Children

Children are precious gifts and are an important part of First United Methodist Church. In ministering to children, we strive to help them grow in their understanding of God’s love and to become disciples of Jesus Christ. First Church offers an assortment of programs for children throughout the year. Please click on the links to the left for more information.

At FUMC we are proud of our commitment to providing a safe environment for our children and youth. Safe Sanctuaries Training classes are offered periodically at the church and are available online at www.moumethodist.org/safesanctuaries.

Adults who take the classes will learn our church policies and procedures and will become "safe sanctuary certified" by the United Methodist Church Conference. The training is divided into two parts - Conference certification and in house training. This is a requirement for all adults volunteering with children and youth.
